The Sony Xperia Z is coming soon through T-Mobile, representing the most recent and highly-anticipated member of the Sony Xperia line. The phone is jumping on the 5in display bandwagon along with Samsung and HTC and is full HD at 1080p, advertising on the website as the "World's first image sensor with HDR video for smartphones." The camera is a competitive 13MP in the rear and 2MP in the front. Operating on 2GB RAM, the smartphone is powered by a 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor. The phone will launch in black and purple, with more colors to follow.
Aside from the Xperia Z, Sony has been busy building the line across the globe. The Xperia Tablet Z just hit the Australian markets with success, boasting a price of $630 and creating competition with the iPad. As for the Xperia Z, the camera is certainly placing the phone as a competitor with the HTC One and the Nokia Lumia phones which have been focusing a lot of energy on improving smartphone cameras. Also in recent releases was an Xperia durable waterproof phone for active users, which is a trend that Samsung has been rumored to follow in the coming months with an alleged Samsung Galasy S4 waterproof model. Sony is making waves with this line, and the Xperia Z smartphone is another positive addition to grow the brand and compete with current smartphone giants.
