The newest gadgets from HTC, the Butterfly S and the Desire 600, have hit the market as the hype over the HTC One beings to die down.
HTC is keeping the ball rolling with two new devices as the HTC One's initial launch sales boost slows down. At an event in Taiwan, the Butterfly S was unveiled as the next major release following the HTC One. The HTC Butterfly was well-received initially, but the S model boasts some great features like an upgraded camera and ramped up processing powered by a 1.9GHz Snapdragon model. The phone has the same BoomSound audio hardware as the HTC One as well as the content organizer entitled Blinkfeed. Another new phone, the HTC Desire 600, is aimed at entry-level smartphone users and is much lower cost than the Butterfly or the HTC One. It's got a 3.5in display and operates Android 4.1.
There was some anxiety over the company losing multiple administrators all at once in recent times, but these new phones indicate that HTC is at least ready to keep moving through the summer with the same momentum as the last few months. With both the Butterfly and he Desire 600, the company has much more coverage for the spectrum of both the low-cost and the high-end markets, which may prove to be a valuable move to secure the most users in the future. For the time being, the HTC Butterfly is poised for only a Taiwanese release, however the phone will likely move into more markets as the summer progresses.
