Police Parade 8 Suspected Robbers, Recover 16 Vehicles In Kaduna

In their continued effort to rid Kaduna of criminals, officers of the state police command have arrested eight armed robbery suspects who specialised in snatching of cars and mobile phones.

The commissioner of police, Kaduna State command, Olufemi Adenaike while parading the suspects, said seven AK47 rifles, one single barrel gun, 30 rounds of ammunition and 12 live cartridges were recovered from them.
The commissioner disclosed that the robbery suspects were arrested in various parts of the state by the anti-car theft section of the Criminal Investigation Department of the command, following a tip-off from members of the public.
During the operation, a total number of 16 vehicles of various kinds were also recovered from the robbers.
According to the commissioner, a total of 750 suspects were arraigned, 500 convicted and 250 awaiting trial from May and June this year.
He, however, reiterated that the command would not relent in its fight against criminals and criminality throughout the state and urged the public to cooperate with the police by reporting criminals to the command.
